Project Description

Infinite Energy was engaged by developers of a large rural site in Hawea to design and build an off-grid reticulated power system for 9 lifestyle properties. The system encompasses a significant centralised utility scale site, including 270 ground mounted solar panels, 90kVa inverter chargers & 300kWh of lithium ion phosphate battery storage. Mains power is then distributed to each building platform, as well as the site bore pump, for irrigation and potable water.

Client

Camp Hill

Innovation

As part of the overall project scope, Infinite Energy also developed building a methodology/standard for the site, which ensures energy efficient homes with high levels of thermal performance, thus reducing demand for back up power from diesel generation.

The design principles in a project of this scale can be applied to other industries with similar energy demands such as agriculture (for irrigation), large scale dairy, refrigeration – and various other commercial applications.
